Get 2 GB of Free Google Drive Storage
The option to run a Security Checkup for your Google account has been included in your Google account settings for a few years already. But to entice users to actually do it, this week the company is offering its users 2 GB of free storage that you can keep forever. The check is simple and only takes a couple of minutes. You’ll need to double check your recovery information, connected devices, apps that have account permissions, app passwords, and verify you have 2-Step Verification (2FA) set up correctly. When you’ve completed the check, you’ll see the message shown below that 2 GB of free storage has been added to your account.
Google did the same things last year at this time. It hasn’t been announced how long the 2 GB of free storage will last, but last year you had a full week to do it. It’s also worth noting that last year, Google Apps for Work and Education weren’t eligible for this offer. It remains to be seen if that is the case this year, and we’ll follow up on that if we get more info. It’s simple to do, only takes a couple minutes, and hey, you can score a couple of gigs of free storage! Run Your Google Security Checkup for 2 GB Free Storage Space Got 2gb extra space!
